  1. I am a freelancer living in India, I work on short term contracts with a
british company. I am not an NRI but my income is in GBP. I had opened an
NRE account (where I get paid by the british company) before when I was an
NRI. But now although I work for the British Company on short term
contracts. I live in India for at least over 180 days. I had 2 questions :
    1. Is my income in the NRE account taxable? 2. Since my income is in GBP, I
lose a lot of money on the exchange rate everytime my company pays me, can
I open an FCNR account? and have my company send me my salary on the FCNR
account and then transfer it to my NRE account as and when I need funds?

  2. sir i working in qatar from last 4 year having NRE account in HDFC bank, I
